It’s hard to believe that I’m in my 20th year of home educating our boys. With three graduated and only one left at home, I look back and wonder how it could have gone so quickly. BUT, when I was in the middle of it there were days when it seemed like the responsibilities were endless.
Even on the worst day, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I guess you could say that I’m a believe in Home EDUCATION.
Notice, that I said Home Education and NOT Home Schooling.
The differences between the two are vast and varied…but they are differences that make a world of difference to your children and perhaps, even more importantly to you. Many of these differences are what led John and I to start Artios Academies whose mission is to “come alongside parents and assist them in raising students who are fully-prepared.” It also led to our work with Heart of the Matter Online which serves as an online resource of inspiration, encouragement and information for families educating their children at home.
The question is, “What does fully prepared look like for your child?” That my sweet friend, is one of the biggest differences between homeschooling and home education.
So, along with other topics, that’s what I’m going to be discussing here….Home Education. I hope that this will be an encouragement to you. I hope that God will allow my journey to help some of you.
